Meditating can be very frustrating, awkward, and hard to understand. Regardless
of your take on meditation, I think most people would agree they’d like to control
their actions better. How many times have impulses, fear, or stress caused you
to act poorly in a situation you could have done better?
While meditating can be challenging, alternate nasal breathing for 5-7 minutes
helps tremendously. It’s quick, simple to learn, and hard to mess up. By
performing this technique we are controlling our breath, are forced to be patient,
then feel calm.
If you’re having difficulty meditating, try alternate nasal breathing with the eyes
closed in a quiet environment followed by listening to a 5 minute guided
meditation.
