It really is…..
I’m no dietitian, but here’s the truth about diets. MOST people just need a healthy
balance. With so many fad diets circulating, it’s hard to keep up with what is
actually good or bad. The best way to control how your body looks comes down
to these 2 things.
Learn to cook:
Eating protein bars and rice cakes with peanut butter is not “living your
best life” and is more for a person trying to compete against others. Create
your own flavors and include all 3 macros in each meal – carbs, fats and
protein. Learn what seasonings you like, look up recipes, and enjoy each
meal and create a good relationship with food. Think about it this way:
Carbs are not the enemy, they are energy.
Your brain and organs need fat, unsaturated is better.
Muscles need protein to recover, at least 20% of your calories should
come from protein.
Understand Portion Control:
This is where most people have difficulty and won’t admit it. Fasting isn’t
the answer and neither are metabolism boosters. Find how many calories
you need daily and figure out how many meals you’d like to eat. Then just
control the portion.
This can be done in 2 minutes at http://www.bmrcalculator.org/
3500 calories is approximately a pound
That’s means 500 calories one way or another daily will result in 1 lb
gained or lost weekly
Learning how to cook allows you to enjoy every meal. Controlling the amount you
eat controls your weight. Keep it simple.
