If you’ve known me for a while or have done a few Rewire sessions, chances
are, journaling has come up. Yes, I have a my little diary or whatever you want to
call it. I journal two times per day and have no set length.
Here’s why:
Journaling when you wake up sets the mindset for the day:
Before checking my texts, getting on social media, or saying a word, I write.
When I wake up, I hit snooze and open my notebook. Sometimes it takes 3
minutes to write the first word. What do I want on paper to start today off? I jot
down a few ideas and things I need to get done. When my snooze alarm goes off
in 10 minutes, I start my day.
Journaling before bed allows you to ease the mind and rest:
I don’t have a timer on this one. I simply wrap up my day by writing something
that didn’t go as planned, how I acted, and how I want to act when similar
situations arise. I accept I’m not perfect, but I’m working to become better and
write down how. I can then relax and sleep knowing I’m resting to wake up and
do better.
Mindset is everything. Think right, speak/write right, and act right. The rest will
work out.
